Lemonade Diet
The Lemonade Diet is not a weight loss diet, but it is rather a bowel cleansing diet. While most people who go on the Lemonade Diet do lose weight, the goal is to cleanse the bowel of toxins so that the dieter can be as healthy as possible. This diet is a complete fast where the only nutrition you will take in comes from a special lemonade drink. In the morning you will also drink a salt-water flush, and in the evening you will drink a laxative tea.
The Lemonade Diet recipe is as follows:
- 2 Tablespoons of fresh-squeezed lemon juice
- 2 Tablespoons of Grade B maple syrup
- Dash of cayenne pepper
- 1 cup of purified water, not fluoridated
That Lemonade Diet recipe makes one serving. For 10-40 days, you will drink ten servings of the drink every day. The salt-water flush recipe uses 2 teaspoons of sea salt with a quart of lukewarm water.
When you are finished with the Lemonade Cleansing Diet, your body will be flushed of toxins and you will be much healthier. It is important to gradually introduce food back into your diet. The first few days after you finish cleansing you will increase the amount of citrus juice you drink. Then you will add vegetables, followed by fruits and more traditional foods. This will help your body adjust to the presence of food after being on the Lemonade Cleansing Diet.
