3 Day Diet (Three Day Diet)
The 3 Day Diet (three day diet) is sometimes called the 3 Day Tuna Diet, because it advocates high consumption of tuna. This diet plan, which as its name implies is followed for 3 days, features a highly regimented diet plan, with all meals carefully measured and prepared according to the 3 Day Diet menu for the duration of the diet. Dieters are allowed three meals a day, but no snacks.
For example, on the first day of the diet, the 3 Day Diet menu allows the dieter to eat grapefruit and toast for breakfast, tuna and toast for lunch, and meat, vegetables, and a tiny bit of ice cream for dinner. Each portion is carefully measured out so that the dieter does not overeat. Each day's meal plan also includes tuna, which is why the diet is often called the 3 Day Tuna Diet.
Advocates of the Three Day Diet state that individuals who follow the plan completely will lose around 10 pounds while dieting. After taking the rest of the week off, dieters can return to the diet plan if they wish to lose more weight. While much of the weight lost on this diet is likely water weight, it can be a good choice for a quick fix diet when needed.
